The conference agenda includes various formats. Please find more information here and select a format from the dropdown menu below.
If this proposal or the original Abstract is co-authored, please provide the following details:
To ensure a diverse and varied conference agenda the organisers prefer not to include speakers more than once in the programme. You will have the opportunity to propose an alternate speaker should this situation arise.
Please note that all speakers are subject to approval by the conference organisers. Should this proposal be accepted and changes to the listed speakers be made at a later date, the conference organisers must confirm inclusion.
Have other speakers/co-facilitaters/moderators been invited to contribute?*
It's helpful to have a title that is very clear about what your topic is. What is the suggested title for your contribution?
Please be aware that your workshop (if it is a half-day workshop) can be scheduled either in the morning or in the afternoon. We kindly ask you not to restrict your participation and to be available the whole day. Please make sure to outline in following sections of the form how your workshop will go beyond the scope of a one hour concurrent session and use a half or full day.
Contributions that address particular academic theoretical experiences, approaches and case studies in depth may be considered for our Research Domain. Is your proposal based on academic research?*
The organisers will have to charge a minimum fee to cover the direct costs of the workshop. To be able to offer the workshop free of charge to participants, the hosts/facilitators can take over these direct costs, such as room rental, food and beverages, AV/technical equipment, moderator kits, flipcharts etc.
Please note: if the main intention of the event is a dissemination activity and/or is to provide a platform to promote an organisation's/a project's objectives then in most cases, costs are required to be covered by the hosts/facilitators of the workshop. If you would like to have an indication of potential costs, please email us at: proposals@oeb.global.
Please provide a concise and clear overview of your proposed content/agenda in the following sections (proposal overview, participant benefits and take-aways). Eventually, participants will be relying on the information you provide here as well to determine if they want to attend your session, so please be descriptive! Amongst others, our programme committee will consider:
Example 1 We often underestimate the impact of the spoken word. Interviews, conversations, and carefully crafted documentaries are just some of the formats popular in the educational application of digital audio. Podcasts are effectively on-demand radio shows, and we can learn much about what makes a compelling and effective programme from our experience of radio…
Example 2 This Learning Café is based on the (ongoing) journey toward digital transformation of our organisation. We will use our case as an introduction to explore underlying reasons for resistance to change among staff in higher education institutions. We have experienced that…
Please describe the tool, application, service or course you wish to demonstrate. Please note that in the case of tools, applications and services, the purpose of these sessions is to highlight pre-market developments and that preference will be given to those most likely to be of interest to participants. Indicate clearly:
Please note that those who wish to promote market ready and commercial products should take advantage of the exhibition opportunities available.
Courses and samples of e-learning content are also invited and preference will be given to those that can be considered excellent in terms of any or all of the following:
Let the conference community know the details of your solution/approach and what is special about your angle on this topic. Please explain how the proposed presentation/session will benefit the audience (We love details!).
Example 1 In this Tech Lab, participants will learn how to find and subscribe to podcasts; plan a podcast; explore the technologies available to record and edit a podcast; and produce and publish their own short programme. We will provide a clear overview and discuss case studies and will discuss in detail how to: plan a programme, explore and apply the technology, start with recording, editing, and publishing your own podcast. Case studies will highlight…
Example 2 After organising the input from the participants using a change management framework, we will discuss solutions and their applicability in different contexts to promote teaching innovation. Conversations are aimed at diagnosing issues and proposing organisational solutions that enable institutions to deliver better learning experiences to students. Participants will gain knowledge about underlying causes of resistance to change in faculties and applicable solutions that they will be able to adapt to the context of their own organisation.
List a minimum of 3 participant take-aways by completing the sentence "In this session/from this contribution you will learn to…"
This is your opportunity to expand upon any insights, strategies, techniques, and/or skills you touched upon in the previous sections.
We encourage you to upload samples of materials related to your proposal's content (PowerPoint slides, worksheets, handouts etc).
You can upload up to three items that support the content described above (Materials should not to exceed 30 MB, and can be provided in the following formats: .ppt, .pptx, .jpg, .pdf, .png, .gif, .tiff, .doc, docx, .odt).

Conference rooms are equipped with a conference laptop, projector and screen. Wireless Internet will be available during the conference; however, we encourage you not to make your contribution reliant on the Internet.
In case additional equipment/materials are essential to your contribution (ie flipchart, post-its, whiteboard, participants' own devices) please let us know why and list these here:
Do you expect participants to bring their own laptop/tablet or smartphone for the format of your contribution?
The conference committee may provide guidelines and recommendations in respect to your proposal in an effort to ensure sessions will be as interactive and practical as possible.
Should this proposal be accepted, the proposed main speaker/organiser agrees to collaborate with the organisers and consider guidelines, suggestions and possible adaptations to format and content.*
